There's something about 'opera highlights' that audiences find simply irresistible. A sell-out crowd greeted singers from the National Opera Studio and the accompanying Welsh National Opera Orchestra in the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama's 'Dora Stoutzker Hall' on Friday 20 January 2012. With audience members surrounding the stage, the concert hall must have felt more like a Colosseum to the up-and-coming artists. Conductor Stuart Stratford was in charge of taming the orchestra for the young voices and steering them through Mozart, Bizet, Puccini, Massenet and more...
