Highlights of the Gent-Antwerp concert season include Zanetti performing Bernstein's 2nd Symphony ('The Age of Anxiety') (GA Oct 7-8), Le Concert Spirituel under Herve Niquet performing 'Un Bal au Grand Trianon' (8 Dec), the orchestration of Verdi's String Quartet (GA 27-8 Jan), concerts by the Flanders Royal Philharmonic Orchestra including Valdine Anderson singing Berg's Altenberglieder (9 Jun), and Berlioz's La Mort de Cleopatre with the superb Bulgarian-born mezzo, Vesselina Kasarova (GA 28-9 Jun).

Solo concerts this season include Solveig Kringelborn with Malcolm Martineau (4 Jan), Mark Padmore with Roger Vignoles (Blue Room, 30 Jan), the fast-rising young baritone Stefan Genz (Blue Room, 20 Feb), the soprano Juliane Banse (Blue Room, 8 Mar) and the magnificent Jose van Dam singing Schumann, Faure, Ravel and Duparc (5 Apr)
