<<  -- 3 --  Malcolm Tattersall    SONATAS AND SONATINAS

-------------------------------

Kolosko's playing is clean, fluent and assured through all the technical obstacles of fifty minutes of dense musical argument; if he occasionally opts for accuracy over dramatic impact, that's a minor fault indeed. I, for one, will look forward to hearing more from him.

The sound quality is excellent and the liner notes by Jonathan Leathwood are full and authoritative. The disc will not necessarily replace every listener's favourite recordings of individual works but is warmly recommended, particularly for anyone who does not have the Brouwer or the Berkeley.
