Xiomara Alfaro

Cuban coloratura soprano Xiomara Alfaro was born on 11 May 1930.

She was known for singing bolero music and for interpreting Ernesto Lecuona's Siboney.

She was sometimes referred to as 'The Nightingale of Music' or 'The Lark of Music'.

Alfaro died on 24 June 2018, aged eighty-eight.
