Sergiu Celibidache

A Romanian conductor whose ability was considered by many to be outstanding through unusual powers of perception was Sergiu Celibidache, born in Roman, Moldavia, on 28 June 1912. He was also a composer with four symphonies to his credit. He died near Paris on 14 August 1996.
