Reginald Goodall

Reginald Goodall proved to be one of England's finest post-war Wagnerian conductors, mostly at Covent Garden. He was born in Lincoln on 13 July 1901. He also helped to make operatic history by conducting the first performance of Britten's Peter Grimes in 1945. He died on 5 May 1990.
