Marilyn Horne

The celebrated American mezzo soprano, Marilyn Horne, was born 16 January 1934. Known especially as Marian in Wozzeck as her operatic career took flight, she sang in Europe as well as America, and took the part of Marian to Covent Garden in 1965.
