Frank Martin

The Swiss composer Frank Martin was born in Geneva on 15 September 1890. After studies in Rome, he returned and over the years gained a distinctive reputation for music of exquisitive quality, some of which remains in the repertory. He died at Naarden on 21 November 1974.
