Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin

Russian novelist, playwright and poet Alexander Pushkin (1799-1837) wrote the play Boris Godunov, the verse novel Eugene Onegin and the poem Ruslan and Ludmila. His work inspired various musical creations by Russian and other composers, including operas by Musorgsky, Tchaikovsky and Glinka.
