Since the launch on 1 January 1999, Music & Vision Magazine has been gradually building a reputation for the range and quality of its writing. Our readers, many of them classical music professionals, come from more than ninety different countries, and in particular from North America, the United Kingdom and Germany.

Editor Basil Ramsey (previously editor of The Musical Times and Music and Musicians) and his staff take the magazine and the quality of material published very seriously. We adhere to a strict daily schedule, which includes weekends and all holidays. Articles and features are professionally proofread, and all proofs must also be checked by the writer in question before publication.

The daily addition of new material, the high quality and international nature of feature articles, and our unique policy of illustrating CD and DVD reviews with sound and video extracts, are rapidly building a large, fascinating and valuable resource, and continue to encourage new regular readers. In July 2007 we served nearly half a million pages to over 30,000 readers, and by August 2007 the total number of pages served since launch had reached 14.8 million (and over 36 million 'requests' or 'hits').

Music & Vision won second place in Chamber Music America's February 2000 survey of the world's fifty best classical music websites. When the same magazine revisited the online classical music scene in 2003, this time featuring only a handful of sites, Music & Vision held its place.

Relevant on-page advertising achieves 'click-through' ratios of up to 2.1 percent.

HOME PAGE ADVERTISING

For the serious advertiser, a presence on Music & Vision's home page -- the busiest page on our site, updated and accessed daily -- is our most immediate form of advertising.

We are highly selective about the type of advertising allowed here. Brief details below. Please contact Keith Bramich online.

Cost	GBP 90 per month, with a two month minimum contract, payable in advance. Other currencies also accepted.
Activation	On receipt of payment and artwork
Graphic	156 pixels wide by 60 pixels deep, GIF or JPEG. Transparency and animation not allowed. 5 kilobytes maximum filesize. Hyperlink allowed. Alt text mandatory.
Position	Graphics are placed on a first come first served basis

BANNER (PAGE HEADER) ADVERTISING

Banner or header advertising is available at the top of each article page in our magazine. To advertise, we require an internet-ready advert (size 468 x 60 pixels).

Other information is as follows:

Cost	GBP 50 per 10,000 banner impressions, payable in advance. Other currencies also accepted; please use the 'Pay Now' button below. Discounts may be offered to advertisers ordering 50,000 or more impressions.
Size	468 pixels wide by 60 pixels deep.
Format	GIF or JPEG, sent by email or as an HTTP-type URL
Transparency	Use of transparent GIF images is at our discretion.
Animation	We do not allow animation
File size	10 kilobytes maximum
Hyperlink	You may supply an optional hyperlink to your website address (URL). The page linked must contain information directly relevant to the content of the advert.
ALT text	You must supply ALT text (displayed by non-graphic-enabled clients). This should be a maximum of 200 characters.
Suitability	We reserve the right to refuse any banner advert on the grounds of suitability. As a rough guideline, high quality adverts relating to music will normally be accepted if they do not conflict with the style of Music & Vision.
Rotation	Banner ads will be rotated on a random basis. When you order banner advertising, please let us know how many banners you wish to buy, and the start and end dates of your campaign.

LINKS PAGE GRAPHICS

For a modest cost per year -- Music & Vision's most economical advertising -- you can purchase a graphic link to your site from our popular links page, to be placed at or near the top of the relevant category, drawing immediate attention to your product or service.

Details are as follows:

Cost	GBP 20 per year, payable in advance. Other currencies also accepted; please use the 'Pay Now' button below.
Size	Link page graphics can be any size or shape, but with a maximum width of 480 pixels and a maximum height of 150 pixels.
Format	GIF or JPEG, emailed or sent as a URL
Transparency	Use of transparent GIF images as links page graphics is normally allowed. When designing your transparent graphic, please bear in mind that the page background colour changes on a daily basis.
Animation	You may use animation on links page graphics, but the maximum file size (see below) must be strictly adhered to.
File size	Each graphic must be no larger than 15 kilobytes (including animation).
Hyperlink	You must supply a hyperlink to your website address (URL). The page linked must contain information directly relevant to the content of the advertising graphic.
ALT text	You must supply ALT text (displayed by non-graphic-enabled clients and indexed by most search engines). This should be a maximum of 200 characters.
Suitability	We reserve the right to refuse any advertising graphic on the grounds of suitability. As a rough guideline, high quality adverts relating to music will normally be accepted.
Duration	Advertising graphics will be displayed in the Music & Vision links area for one year, from the date that payment is received.
Position	Graphics are placed on a first come first served basis

Reply to our email with your banner graphic, ALT text and URL, using links page graphic in the subject line of your email.
