Rubinstein on DVD

VIEW Video, a publisher of music and performing arts programs, announces the 27 January 2004 release on DVD of Rubinstein Remembered. Created for the PBS American Masters Series in honour of the 100th Anniversary of Rubinstein' birth, Rubinstein Remembered was filmed on location in his native Poland at the concert hall that staged his very first performance at the age of ten. Hosted by Rubinstein's son John, an acclaimed musician in his own right, and directed by Emmy award winner Peter Rosen, the film traces Arthur Rubinstein's early years through his rise to international stardom and into the pantheon of musical history.

Classic filmed performances of Rubinstein's unsurpassable interpretations of Chopin, Poulenc, Mendelssohn, and other great composers, combined with personal family photos and exclusive interviews with the Rubinsteins, their close friends, and the legend himself create an illuminating portrait. Now on enhanced DVD, Rubinstein Remembered is filled with bonus features such as historic performances, a Rubinstein biography, trivia, a timeline and a Grammy awards and nominations list.
