Goldman Ensemble

'We take the music very seriously, but not ourselves' - Gavriella Goldman, horn

An anonymous donor is to price match performances by the Goldman Ensemble, in order to assist chamber music venues, music societies and concert series wishing to programme the ensemble's 'chamber-music-with-comedy' concert known as Piano Recital (Piano Not Included). The programme consists of arrangements from the standard concert repertoire, arranged by violinist Ortal Goldman. The music is enhanced by a loose story line, one liners and very British humour inspired by the musicians' own experiences. The four player Goldman Ensemble has been playing professionally since 2004 and is the only group based in the UK with the unusual and versatile combination of violin, horn, tuba, vibraphone and xylophone.
