Adventures in Classical Music

Bill Neely is a freelance singer in the San Francisco Bay area, and teaches at Santa Rosa Junior College and also privately.

Adventures in Classical Music is Neely's unique online course on the history of classical music, intended for beginners, and available via Udemy.com. Because it's online, you can learn at your own pace from over 130 lecture segments and more than forty hours of listening, viewing and reviewing the material anytime and indefinitely. Neely teaches the same course to his students at Santa Rosa Junior College.

The course follows a musical timeline through the periods that comprise the history of Western classical music - the middle ages, renaissance, baroque, classical, romantic and modern periods, and is a survey of classical music in the western world from the middle ages to the present. It's organised as a series of podcasts averaging fifteen minutes per segment, and is structured in thirty-two sections.

Testimonials, an informational video and the first lecture - a sixteen minute introductory overview - are all available online, plus several sample lecture segments.

Bill Neely is currently offering 65% off the cost of this course to M&V readers who sign up via the link below, before 22 November 2014.
