French Fantasy
American pianists, duo partners and husband and wife team Susan Merdinger and Steven Greene have released a new CD of piano duets. French Fantasy, released in September 2014, has already won several awards, including a gold medal in the Global Music Awards. French Fantasy is a four-hands-at-one-piano recording made on a Steinway B at Sheridan Music Studio, featuring Saint-Saëns' Carnival of the Animals, Fauré's Dolly Suite and Ravel's Mother Goose Suite. Merdinger and Greene first met at Yale in 1984, and have been performing together ever since, on one and two pianos. Their first two piano CD, The Dynamic Duo, of music by Saint-Saëns, Stravinsky and Milhaud, was also recently released. Their three children are also all professional musicians, and the family performs together as 'The Five Greenes'.
