Ealing Festival
The Ealing Music and Film Festival returns in 2016 with a programme of events to reflect the rich and varied music and film heritage of one of London's culturally enriched boroughs. This year the festival welcomes new artists while continuing to explore the wealth of creative talent on its doorstep. This fourth festival runs from 10-14 February 2016, in and around central Ealing, and is proud to continue its association with the University of West London and major venues including Ealing Town Hall, St Barnabas Church, The Red Room (formerly The Ealing Club) and St Mary's Church. The world's most recorded chamber orchestra, the Ealing-based English Chamber Orchestra, will perform with pianist Emilie Capulet in Schubert's Trout Quintet in St Mary's Church on 10 February. The following evening, the orchestra's full programme features Sibelius' Finlandia, Samuel Barber's Adagio for strings, Musorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition (orchestrated by Ravel) and Walton's Belshazzar's Feast, with singers from London Oriana Choir and the London College of Music Chorus. The concert also features players from the Ealing Youth Orchestra.
