Mozart's 'Die Entführung aus dem Serail'

On 21 April 2010, the Harkins Cinema in the far north of Scottsdale had the only Arizona showing of the live performance of Mozart's Die Entführung aus dem Serail ('The Abduction from the Seraglio') from the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, Spain. One could have expected a full house. The transmission of Il trovatore from the same opera house was sold out a week in advance, but that was in December. For many people, Scottsdale is only a winter home and ticket sales in April were not nearly as good as they had been earlier. I notice that the Loft Theatre, near the University of Arizona in Tucson, will be showing the Pikovaya Dama ('The Queen of Spades') live from the Liceu in July...
