Alexandra Dariescu plays Beethoven,
Liszt, Chopin and Constantin Silvestri,

Romanian pianist Alexandra Dariescu was last heard in Nottingham playing Beethoven's Third Concerto with Sinfonia Viva in November 2009. And it was with Beethoven that she opened her contribution to the Royal Concert Hall's Sunday morning recital series (Nottingham, UK, 20 February 2011). Her playing in the opening of the E flat Sonata, Op 31 No 3, was somewhat more bass-weighted than we often hear, but that didn't get in the way of the music's playful qualities...
