This is the sixth in a series of MSR recordings of compositions by the contemporary composer Barbara Harbach, and the third devoted to her chamber music. I said in a review of the second disc of chamber pieces, 'her music is appealingly straightforward: themes are immediately attractive, forms clear, and textures and harmonies transparent.' All still true.

The works included are shorter and more diverse than those of previous releases in the series. Seven of the ten here are for two players, three for solo keyboard...
