A striking collection of recent Australian saxophone compositions. From the dance-like playfulness of Matthew Hindson's Repetepetition to the terrifying portents of an Aboriginal legend depicted in Anne Boyd's Ganba, six composers demonstrate the stylistic variety that is a feature of the current Australian music scene.

Michael Duke is Chair of the Woodwind Unit at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, and David Howie is a member of the Ensemble Unit there, while performing widely as an associate artist and chamber musician.

First recordings of all works except the Broadstock.

Recorded 28-30 September 2010, Recital Hall West, Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
