A perfect marriage of music and theology

PIPPA HARE was at the Tudeley Festival's
performance of Bach's B minor Mass

In September 1988 St Augustine's Chapel at Tonbridge School was almost completely destroyed by fire; only after a great deal of deliberation was it rebuilt in 1995, on the lines of King's College, Cambridge.

This chapel made a superbly fitting venue for Bach's Mass in B minor, performed by the Tudeley Consort, the Aarhus Chorale -- a hand-picked group of semi-professional singers from Denmark -- and the East London Chorus, with the London Pro Arte Baroque, conducted by Murray Stewart.
