On 11 February 2007, Teatro Lirico D'Europa presented Puccini's Turandot at The Blanche M Touhill Performing Arts Center of the University of Missouri at St Louis. Since the local company, Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, performs only in late spring and usually in English translation, this impressive touring company provides the city with a winter season of opera in the original language.
