-------------------------------

The BPSE series continues on the first Thursday of each month, developing the theme of 'Beethoven and Youth' in harmony with the aims of the Coram Foundation. During the coming months concerts will feature, alongside Beethoven, repertoire by great composers when young, young composers still to become great, music about childhood or for children, and all performed by experienced artists or, as in this recital, young performers. Details of the recitals are available via the Beethoven Piano Society of Europe link below.

Julian Clef is particularly remarkable: he grew up in India, where he performed, yet never received formal musical education until he began at Chethams in 2006, since when he has performed widely and won several major awards. Next year he begins studies at the Royal Northern College of Music: hopefully we shall have another chance soon to hear him again on the concert platform.
