Heritage Opera

Heritage Opera is a professional touring opera company, based in the north-west of England, presenting three or four fully-staged and costumed operas per year, plus concerts, education workshops and other events. The company's first production was Mozart's Così fan tutte, which opened at Blackburn Grammar School on 3 June 2006.

Chris Gill is the musical director and chairman, Sarah Helsby Hughes is artistic director and Nick Sales is company manager. Heritage Opera New Commissions Trust has commissioned and given the first performances of Mansfield Park from librettist Alasdair Middleton and composer Jonathan Dove.
