Igor Kipnis
World-renouned American keyboardist Igor Kipnis died on 24 January 2002, aged 71, after a battle with cancer. Principally known as a harpsichordist, Kipnis also played clavichord, fortepiano, and modern piano. He was a writer (including occasionally for Music & Vision), teacher, and broadcaster as well as a performer.
