Anthony Milner
The recent death in Spain of British composer Anthony Milner at 77 ends a life distinctive as a scholar, composer and teacher, mostly in London. His music was partially influenced by Michael Tippett, and included much choral and some church music, all of it exquisitely detailed and widely admired for that reason. He toured extensively as a lecturer, returning to America several times. There are various books and compilations to which he contributed.
