M&V contributor Robert Hugill's new opera, When a Man Knows, with a libretto by the composer based on the play by Alan Richardson, has its first staged production at the Bridewell Theatre, 14 Bride Lane, London EC4, UK, with performances Thursday 31 March to Saturday 2 April 2011, all at 8pm. Performers include Zoe South as the Woman and Dario Dugandzic as the Man, Sarah Barham as the Female Chorus and John Beaumont as the Male Chorus, and the performances will be conducted by David Roblou (musical director of Midsummer Opera) and directed by Ian Caddy, with lighting by Matt Haskins.
