Odyssey releases
Two new DVDs on the Odyssey label will be released on 23 March 2015. Showing some of Britain's most stunning landscapes set against a meticulously chosen arrangement of complementary music, producer and composer Adrian Munsey presents Inner Landscapes, a collection of short geographic journeys. Performed by the English Sinfonia and the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra, this work takes inspiration from Munsey's connection with landscapes of extraordinary beauty. It presents five poignant explorations of nature and music, shot at some of Britain's most stunning prehistoric, Celtic and medieval locations, as well as at coastal and agricultural spots. The five sections are: The Sky Inside, Incognito, Forgotten, A Wilder Sky and My Film, and the DVD runs for approximately thirty minutes. The second new Odyssey release is Alma Mater, filmed before a live audience at London's Westminster Cathedral, featuring the voice of Pope Benedict XVI, The Vatican's Philharmonic Academy of Rome Choir and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Alma Mater, which runs for approximately sixty-three minutes, features Pope Benedict reciting and singing in five languages in a special combination of Lauretan litanies, Marian popular chants and original pieces by three contemporary composers - Simon Boswell, Nour Eddine Fatty and Stefano Mainetti.
