Markus Stenz and the Hallé
in music by Colin Matthews and Mahler
The Hallé, BBC Philharmonic and Manchester Camerata are jointly performing all the Mahler symphonies to mark the 150th anniversary of his birth. Alongside the Mahler they have commissioned a series of companion pieces from composers including Kurt Schwertsik, David Matthews (his Symphony No 7), Anthony Payne and Luke Bedford.
