The Real Thing
Spanish music from the Hallé Orchestra,

Derby Assembly Rooms' 2009-10 concert season ended with a burst of Spanish colour -- both the French kind and the real thing -- from the Hallé Orchestra and conductor John Wilson.
Their performance of Chabrier's España was strong on sharply-focused details, though a little light on flamboyance and flair.
Soloist Craig Ogden and the orchestra were alert and crisp in the first movement of Rodrigo's Concierto de Aranjuez...
