The recital by Korean-born violinist Soojin Han and Japanese pianist Tadashi Imai turned out to be one of Derby Chamber Music's most memorable evenings of late (Multi-Faith Centre, Derby University, Derby, UK, 15 October 2010).
Soojin Han's authoritative account of J S Bach's solo Sonata No 2 was marked by her pure tone, using minimum vibrato, her command of Bach's polyphonic textures, especially in the fugal second movement, rhythmic security and poise.
