Breaking Moulds: 1910

The earth sailed through the tail of Halley's Comet as King George V came to the throne. The Vatican introduced a compulsory oath (to be taken by all priests upon ordination) against Modernism. Fortunately, for the twentieth century's artistic development, the 'Modernism' in question was entirely philosophical.

In music, there continues to be much debate as to what Modernism is exactly. Other Arts appear to have their labels clearly in place...
