of British composer Ian Stewart,

Music Chamber dedicated a special concert to a British composer Ian Stewart at St Peter's Church, Notting Hill, London UK at 7.30pm on Friday 7 January 2011.

In the first half we heard Sonata for Violin and Piano in four movements composed in a traditional nineteenth century style with much use of rubato and flexible tempos. The Spanish violinist Guillem Calvo Martínez de Albéniz and the Russian pianist Pavel Timofejevsky who first came together to premiere Stewart's works this evening brought out the provenance in Celtic flavour...
