'Don Giovanni' from New York Metropolitan Opera

On 29 October 1787, Mozart's opera Don Giovanni was premiered at what is now called the Estates Theatre in Prague. Two hundred and twenty-four years later, The Metropolitan Opera transmitted it in high definition to cinemas all over the world. A blend of comedy and high drama with intrusions from the supernatural, it is the seventh most often performed opera in the world, according to Opera Base.
