'Satyagraha' by Philip Glass,

On 19 November 2011, The Metropolitan Opera transmitted Philip Glass's opera Satyagraha, live in HD to cinemas around the world. This reporter saw it at the Desert Ridge Theater in Phoenix, Arizona. Glass and his librettist, Constance DeJong, chose to have the text, which was adapted from the Bhagavad Gita, sung in Sanskrit with titles in English. Since repeated sung phrases were not repeated in the titles, there were long stretches with no printed translation...
