Danish-born violinist Nikolaj Znaider has also recently been making a name for himself as a conductor. If his appearance with the Hallé Orchestra is anything to go by (Assembly Rooms, Derby, UK, 9 May 2013), he clearly has a lot to offer -- with plenty of ideas of his own, he obviously takes nothing for granted. The players responded with that extra degree of vitality, marking a partnership that has evidently clicked...
