NFM's disc, entitled The Seeds of Stars, comprises a selection of choral music by British composer Bob Chilcott. Including both arrangements and original compositions, the sampling of works spans the past thirteen years of the composer's life and offers a broad assortment of styles, all of which are readily accessible. That is not to say, however, that his music is tired and commonplace. One cannot deny that some of Chilcott's work sounds derivative, but at his best, the composer produces a familiar sound with a fresh voice...
