Fawzi Haimor conducts Sinfonia Viva
and impresses MIKE WHEELER
Back in March a serious fire put the Plant Room at Derby's Assembly Rooms out of action. One of the casualties, a 2 April concert by Sinfonia Viva, was rescheduled and re-located, with a change of conductor and soloist, but the original programme remained unchanged (Derby Cathedral, Derby, UK, 22 July 2014).
Conductor Fawzi Haimor came with an impressive CV which has taken him, at thirty-one, to the post of Resident Conductor of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra...
