Undeniably Spellbinding

Cellist Jessie Richardson and pianist Simon Callaghan have clearly established a thriving partnership. Opening their recital with Beethoven's Sonata in G, Op 5 No 2, the two players were perfect foils for each other, Callaghan often taking the initiative in establishing the music's switches of mood, Richardson responding with expressive, eloquent phrasing (Derby Chamber Music, Multi-Faith Centre, Derby University, 20 March 2015).
