Here's a real musical gallimaufry. It brings together three American composers known for their absolute music, cheek by jowl with works of Russian symbolist composer Alexander Scriabin (1872-1915). The Americans are John Cage (1912-1992), Morton Feldman (1926-1987) and Scott Wollschleger (born 1980).

Producer Eric Fraad and pianist Ivan Ilić seek to reveal a connection between these composers and Transcendentalism, a questionable religious and philosophical movement that developed during the late 1820s and '30s in the Eastern region of the United States...
