Recording contrasting sonatas on a single disc is hardly a good sales pitch. On this MSR disc the Jade Duo performs works of Fauré, Schumann and Bartók side by side. It's doubtful you'll want all three works at one time, though possibly you're looking for recordings by colleagues from Jade Duo's alma mater, the Manhattan School of Music. Or you may seek a recording of each sonata with one of several recognized duos...
