Mark Bebbington makes a return visit to Nottingham,

Standing in at the last minute for snow-bound American pianist Lara Downes, Mark Bebbington made a return visit to Nottingham's Sunday morning piano series (Royal Concert Hall, Nottingham, UK, 24 January 2016), with — unusually for him — not a single British piece in sight.
The outer movements of Haydn's Sonata No 60 (Hoboken XVI:50) were crisp and sprightly but missed a sense of the composer's lurking mischief. The finale, in particular, needed to be held on a tighter structural leash for the jokes to make their full effect...
