Sinfonia Viva percussionist Graham Hall is also a skilful arranger, as evidenced by the two works in the orchestra's latest concert in Derby Cathedral (Derby, UK, 2 March 2016).

I tend to be sceptical about re-scoring chamber works for orchestral forces, but if it is to be done, I can't imagine the Ravel String Quartet getting more sympathetic treatment than this. Hall is very good at illuminating details, especially in the first and last movement...
