Delphian continues to provide a service to organ lovers with this disc titled Gaudeamus Igitur, a tribute to the famous student song which is quite beautifully played here by John Kitchen on the Organ of the McEwan Hall at the University of Edinburgh. It's a curiously varied programme with Kenneth Leighton's Et resurrexit taking up the lion's share of the programme at seventeen minutes. This is a rather staid work that gets nowhere, although you have to be supportive of Kitchen's brilliant playing...
