Teatro dell'Opera di Roma's new season
On 2 December 2018, Teatro dell'Opera di Roma inaugurated its 2018-2019 season with the house full to the hilt in all orders from the orchestra seats to the boxes and the second tier of galleries. A new production was scheduled of Verdi's Rigoletto, a much loved opera staged by the Teatro dell'Opera nearly every year, either as a new production or a repertory item. An important attraction was the musical side, as the conductor was Daniele Gatti, just appointed as new musical director of Rome's opera house, and the protagonists were three well-known singers — Roberto Frontali, Ismael Jordi and Lisette Oropesa...
