Andjelko Klobuchar

Croatian composer, organist and music professor Anđelko Klobučar was born on 11 July 1931 in Zagreb, where he studied at the Academy of Music, then later in Salzburg and Paris.

He was organist of Zagreb Cathedral, and remained an active teacher and composer, also promoting and restoring Croatia's church music heritage. He also wrote film music, for documentaries, animations and feature films. He was a full member of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts, and received the Vladimir Nazor Award for Life Achievement in Music and the Porin Lifetime Achievement Award.

He died in Zagreb on 7 August 2016, aged eighty-five.
