Alain is a French name. In classical music it seems to be the territory of organists and organ composers. Normally it refers to the composer Jehan Alain, but the name is shared by the organist Marie-Claire Alain and another composer (and organist), Olivier Alain. It also refers to Lise's rich but stupid suitor in La fille mal gardée.
