Enigma Fountain for Malvern

The Enigma Fountain in Malvern. Photo (c) 2000 Keith BramichA new Enigma Fountain which celebrates the centenary of the Enigma Variations by British composer Sir Edward Elgar (1857-1934), is engraved with the names of the variations and text from The Music Makers. The fountain, on Belle Vue Terrace, in the town centre of Great Malvern, Worcestershire, UK, was designed by Rose Garrard and opened on 26 May 2000, 2.30pm by Prince Andrew. Elgar was born, and spent much of his life, in the Malvern area.
