These delightful arrangements of Dvorák songs come across quite magically in the dulcet tones of Josef Suk's violin and Vladimir Ashkenazy's piano. Perhaps the most famous are the Biblical Songs Op 99 which are rather more well known in their orchestral guise but in this chamber arrangement they come across rather nicely and colourfully. The same goes for the Gypsy Songs Op 55 which positively bubble with innovation and lithe energy...
