When bored with the stupidity of Da Ponte's Fiordiligi and Dorabella, I tend to feel that Mozart gave his best in the glorious series of piano concertos stretching over so much of his life. I am of course brought up short by The Magic Flute and made pensive for a while. But ultimately the concertos prevail, and I can hardly wait to hear more of this complete series...
