Nicholas Collon conducts Sinfonia Viva,

Nicholas Collon returned to the helm of Sinfonia Viva for a programme with the twin themes of Shakespeare and twentieth-century British classics (Assembly Rooms, Derby, UK, 23 April 2012).

The Love Scene from Berlioz's Romeo and Juliet was beautifully shaped, the playing full of delicacy and atmosphere.

Ed Lyon sang Britten's Serenade with intelligence and generally clear diction, partnered by Richard Watkins's nimble, sonorous horn playing...
